I bought a pair of running shoes from Marathon Sports and had a few questions before deciding. The staff were friendly and seemed to know the basic differences between the shoes, so it’s not like they were unhelpful or anything. I just felt like some of the answers were a little vague when I asked for more details. They still helped me pick a pair, and I’m not saying it was a bad experience, because it wasn’t. I just wouldn’t say I walked away feeling totally confident in the advice either. Overall, it was fine, not amazing, but definitely not terrible.

"The loyalty program just didn’t really…"
The loyalty program just didn’t really feel worth the effort to me. The points build up so slowly, and when you finally look at the rewards, they’re not all that exciting. It also kind of has that “no real person behind it” feeling, like it’s just a system checking boxes instead of actually trying to make customers feel appreciated. I expected better and probably won’t bother using it again.

I went in just to ask a simple question, but the staff acted like I was bothering them. It made me feel kind of embarrassed for even asking. I left feeling uncomfortable, and it definitely wasn’t a very nice shopping experience.

"Store felt dirty"
I stopped in expecting a decent shopping experience, but the store just felt kinda dirty right away. The floors looked dusty and there were random things laying around, which made it feel like no one had really kept up with it.
The fitting area was probably the worst part for me. It didn’t feel clean or taken care of, and it made trying stuff on feel a little uncomfortable. Not what I was expecting from Marathon Sports.
I know stores get busy, but this felt like it needed a proper clean. It’s hard to focus on shopping when the place feels messy and a bit neglected.

I got fitted in the store and the shoes themselves are fine, but the staff felt a bit rushed the whole time. Compared to other places where I’ve had fittings, this one didn’t feel quite as personal or relaxed.

"My refund took forever"
I returned my item expecting the refund to show up in a reasonable amount of time, but it dragged on way longer than it should have. I kept checking my card and my email every day, and it felt like whoever was handling my return just let it sit there instead of actually pushing it through.
Customer service did reply when I reached out, but I shouldn’t have had to keep chasing them for my own money. Maybe ordering from this store is fine if everything goes smoothly, but after dealing with this refund delay, I don’t see myself buying from them again...
"Started falling apart after around a little use"
I was disappointed with the quality. After about a short time, the seams started coming loose and it just didn’t hold up like I expected.

I used marathonsports.com to look for running shoe ideas, and the personalized recommendations were somewhat helpful. A couple of the suggestions seemed like they could work for me, but a few others didn’t really feel right for my running style, at least from what I can tell. The site itself was easy to use, so no complaints there. Overall, it wasn’t bad, I just thought the recommendations might be a little more accurate.

"Nice Shoes, But the Return Process Killed the Vibe"
At first, I was happy with these shoes. They looked good, felt decent, and I thought I’d made a solid choice. Then I realized the sizing was a little off, and suddenly my whole mood changed. The return policy felt way too strict, and the process dragged on longer than I expected. Good shoes, sure, but if you’re not 100% sure about your size, I don’t think it’s worth dealing with the hassle.

"Not much of a deal, at least for me"
I checked out marathonsports.com because I was trying to justify buying new running shoes, and I figured maybe the sale section would make me feel less guilty about it. But most of the stuff I liked was either still full price or barely discounted. I probably waited too long or picked the wrong time to shop, but the discount section felt thin, and a lot of sizes were already gone. I even found a promo code, but of course it didn’t apply to the shoes I wanted. If you’re looking for real deals, I wouldn’t expect too much.

"Email Support Was Completely Useless"
I ordered from Marathon Sports and had a question, so I emailed them right away thinking someone would actually help. Nope. It took days to get a response, and by the time they finally replied, it was basically useless. I even sent another email and got the same treatment, just left waiting with no update at all. Maybe the store itself is fine, but their email support seriously dropped the ball. If they’re too busy to respond properly, that’s on them, and they should at least have the decency to say something instead of leaving customers hanging

"Felt Ignored After Ordering Shoes"
I ordered a pair of shoes that showed as in stock on the website, then a few days later I got an email saying they actually weren’t available. It was really frustrating because I could’ve just bought them somewhere else if I’d known sooner. It also kind of felt like no one was paying attention to the order or the inventory. The site definitely doesn’t seem to be updated properly.

I went in looking for a few running shoe options and some basic gear, but the selection felt really limited, and a lot of what I found just wasn’t what I needed. Maybe it’s fine if you already know exactly what you want, but if you’re just trying to browse, it gets frustrating fast.

I sat on hold for what felt like forever, and when I finally thought I was getting somewhere, the call just got disconnected. Maybe they’ve got some polished explanation about call volume or customer care, but from my side it just felt like a complete waste of time

"Shopping on the website was more frustrating than it should’ve been"
I tried ordering from Marathon Sports and just got annoyed after a while. The site felt clunky, like every little thing took extra effort. For example, I’d click a filter for size and it wouldn’t seem to apply right, then I’d try filtering by brand or color and the results would shift around weirdly, and sometimes I’d have to go back and start over. Pages were also loading slowly for me, whether I was opening a product, going back to the search results, or trying to look at another shoe. Even the checkout felt confusing, like I wasn’t totally sure where I was in the process or what I needed to click next. After dealing with the slow pages, weird filters, confusing checkout, and just general awkwardness, I gave up. Not a great online shopping experience.

"Good shoes, rough packaging"
The shoes themselves were totally fine, but the box showed up smashed and half open, which was disappointing. There wasn’t any extra packing inside either, so it looked like the package had been tossed around quite a bit. Delivery timing was okay, but the packaging wasn’t what I expected from marathonsports.com. A friend had recommended ordering from them, so I was hoping for a better overall experience.
